I’m Megan Klein, the founder of Little Saints.
I sold the first batch of Little Saints cans out of my mint green vending trailer named “Baby Mint” in Detroit in the summer of 2021 as a solution to my own pandemic problem: love cocktails, hate hangovers.
Prior to founding Little Saints, I was your classic work hard, play hard corporate professional.
During the day, I exercised, ate healthy, and worked hard. At night, I rewarded myself with cocktails.
My socializing always went hand-in-hand with drinking, and it wasn’t until the pandemic that I realized the damage that booze was doing to my mental and physical health.
That doesn’t mean I ever wanted to stop drinking; I just wanted to drink something that was better than alcohol.
I decided to do Dry January in 2021 (after trying and failing 15 times before) and bought every non-alcoholic option I could find.
Everything was full of sugar, and nothing captured the essence of a really good cocktail—no smell, no feeling.
With the help of an expert food scientist, I set out to create Little Saints: zero sugar, non-alcoholic cocktails and spirits fueled by mushrooms, eliminating the need to choose between having fun or feeling good.
